BT Engineering Lays Strong Foundations for Success in the UK

Hi guys,For the past 51 years, our BT Engineering family has listened to the needs of bricklayers and developed innovative tools that are staples in the industry. Decades of continuous refinement have built BT Engineering from the ground up and as a result we now enjoy cult status among st bricklayers in Australia.BT stands as the world’s leading manufacturer of bricklaying and masonry tools. The BT family has reached a pivotal stage and we are excited to launch in the UK to support our brickie mates who build homes and cities one brick at a time.

Proud Australian Roots

BT is a family engineering business founded in Engadine, Australia 1967 by Bruce Thomas. Bruce’s brickie mate asked him whether he could manufacture a tool that would ‘rake out’ brick joints.Bruce rose to the challenge and manufactured a primitive but efficient block of wood with a nail hammered into it. This was the origin of BT’s ‘steel wheel rakers’ and the well accepted ‘long handle raker’.Bruce was joined by his son Jeff in 1980 after an apprenticeship with Australian airline Qantas.andestablished themselves as leaders in quality Australian made bricklaying tools by focusing their inventive minds on developing products that helped brickies lay faster and more accurately.

Original Bricklaying Toolmaker

BT is praised for developing tools of great variety and quality. Variety comes from listening to bricklayers who hang around our factory and tell us everything that would help them on site. Quality is fueled by our desire to produce durable, top shelf tools that last a lifetime. BT is a no fuss, no frills, proper old school toolmaker.Bricklayers play an important part in BT’s success. A good example is BT’s famous Dori Block which can be found on brickie sites all over the world. The Dori Block was designed by BT and an ingenious local bricklayer named Dorian. BT developed the prototype and the result is an essential tool in every bricklayer’s toolkit. After years of supporting bricklayers, BT is grateful to all the brickies who offered these kind words of support to us:“My boss uses all BT gear it’s without a doubt the best there is.” “BT is the best Bricklaying gear! Been using them for years! their tools last a lifetime.” “I can tell you BT tools are seriously worth every cent and even if I were to sell them second hand they still hold their value.”

51 years Trusted by Bricklayers

The aim of our game is to develop great tools that make bricklaying quicker and easier. It’s no surprise BT has attracted interest from countries such as Canada, US, and UK. BT is well positioned to achieve success in the UK because bricklayers need accurate, precise tools that get the job done.Recently, Best Bricky himself – UK bricklaying YouTuber Stu Crompton – reviewed BT’s Brick Saw:Saves me so much time and makes my cuts uniform and neater. BT have a cult status in Australia. It’s time for them to get moving into the UK because I think a lot of people will benefit. It will sure be a game changer for me and my channel. BT certainly makes my life easier.”Currently, BT has one retail partner is the UK – SB Tools – and we’re seeking more distribution partners across the UK as well as selling via Amazon UK shortly. Get excited UK brickies. Good things are coming!

as you obviously know that the building industry at this moment in the uk is taking a caning from covid 19 , it don’t mean that us brickie’s give up that easily.
once we have beat this virus, I’m sure that a lot of savvy bricklayers will be wanting to buy your products to build up this country brick by brick.
