The world’s first Dori Block for dentil brickwork
Dentil brickwork — where alternate bricks project to create a classical decorative pattern — is one of the most technically demanding bricklaying jobs. Every projecting brick has to sit at exactly the right offset, every time, across the full run. Traditional methods mean measuring and adjusting each brick individually.
International patent protected innovation
The Dentil Dori Block changes that. Multiple orientations give you internal and external offsets in 10mm increments up to 30mm — meaning you set the block once for a given dentil pattern, and every brick runs to that offset automatically. What used to take careful individual measurement now runs as smoothly as standard coursework.
What it does
- Multiple offset positions — internal and external, 10mm / 20mm / 30mm
- Holds two string lines running both ways — like the standard Dori Block
- Long-sided design — first-brick flush placement at the offset
- Fits 50.8mm UK profiles
- International patent protected
Evolution from Dorian’s original string line block to this dentil-specific version represents over a decade of BT Engineering listening to bricklayers and engineering the tools they asked for.
