The improved Dori Block — first brick flush, every time
The original Dori Block solved the two-string-line problem. The Long Sided Dori Block solves an even better one: getting the first corner brick to sit perfectly flush with the string line, every time.
Why the longer side matters
When you lay a corner, the first brick has to sit in two dimensions at once — flush against the profile, and aligned with the string line running along the wall face. A standard block gets you one or the other. The Long Sided block gives you both simultaneously by extending one face to meet the string line exactly where the brick corner sits.
The flip-over trick
The Long Sided Dori Block is designed to be flipped. One orientation holds the string lines for laying the wall; the other orientation positions the first brick flush against the corner. You don’t need a second block — the same tool does both jobs.
